Set the Search Settings

  1. You have to invoke Google Chrome on your system.
  2. Thereafter, input anything you want to search and hit the Enter key.
  3. Select the option of Settings.
  4. You will see a menu of drop-down on your screen.
  5. Then choose the Search settings.
  6. Later, move down and check the Settings.
  7. You should untick the ‘Open each selected result in a new browser window’ box.
  8. Now, choose the button of Save.

Turn Off the Background Applications

  1. You should launch Google Chrome on the PC.
  2. Select the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the upper right side of the screen.
  3. Choose the Settings option through the menu.
  4. Then move down, and you will locate the Advanced option and select it.
  5. Beneath the option of Advanced, go to the System option, and select it.
  6. Underneath it, turn off ‘continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed’ by disabling the button applicable beside it.

Remove the Cookies

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your PC.
  2. Then select the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the upper right side of the screen.
  3. Choose the option of More Tools.
  4. You should choose the ‘Clear browsing data’ option.
  5. Beneath the dialog section will appear.
  6. Don’t forget to mark the cookies and other site data box then choose the Clear Data button.

Check the Malware from Chrome

  1. Invoke the Chrome on your PC.
  2. Then, choose the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the upper right side of the screen.
  3. Go to the Settings option through the menu.
  4. You should move down and choose the Advanced option.
  5. Move end to the section of ‘Reset and clean up’ and choose the ‘Clean up computer’ option.
  6. Now, select the Find option and pursue the on-screen steps.

Reset the Chrome to Default

  1. Launch Chrome on your system.
  2. Select the vertical ellipsis menu icon.
  3. Then choose the Settings through the menu.
  4. Move down and choose the Advanced option.
  5. Move end to the section of ‘Reset and clean up’ and choose the ‘Reset settings’ option.
  6. Now, choose the button of Reset to verify.
