New Google Integration to Include Chat, Rooms, Mail, and Meet
Google is coming out with a one-stop integrated platform for all of its communication tools. It will incorporate Gmail, Google Chat, Rooms, and Google Meet. Just ahead of the company’s big Google Cloud Conference, a design reveal suggests “Gmail for G Suite” business users. The move poses a direct threat to existing players like Slack and Microsoft, only for Suite users as of yet. Employers and employees were both facing issues with the time consumed in shifting between different communication platforms. Switching tabs can become a burden when you’re spending considerable time doing just that. Javier Soltero was hired to take over the existing communications interface provided by Google. He calls the project an “integrated workspace” so that you can achieve more in less time.
