Ghost of Tsushima: The Mystery of Komatsu Forge Explained

Ghost of Tsushima is turning out to be a really immersive gaming experience with tonnes of places to explore. The RPG open-world game is one of the first games to create such an intricately designed experience for the players. Not only are the graphics and visuals marvelously built, but the socio-cultural nuance of almost a thousand-year-old world has also been captured brilliantly. As previous reports have indicated, the developers sent out a team to Japan, to record authentic sounds from there, before the development of the game.

THE GAME GIVES YOU A LOT TO EXPLORE

Some will encounter certain places on the map, that other players won’t. The expansive world affords you the ability to find something new every time you play the game. A lot of the players are questioning the strangeness surrounding the Komatsu Forge in Tsushima. It pops out because even though it is an area captured by the Mongols, there aren’t any enemies around. But that involves too much effort, and most players carry on to the next place.

BUT THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW, THE FORGE KEEPS A LOT OF SECRETS

There are a few things inside the Komatsu Forge that might ignite your interest to check out the place. Or, go there again to find these secret rewards. Firstly, the lack of enemies is not something to be worried about. As per the story, the Forge is part of the Mongol territory, but they won’t send troops until much further in the storyline. Once you progress the main story, you will find enemies all over the place.

THEN THERE IS THE BIRD

A beautiful yellow bird comes about when you reach the Komatsu Forge before the troops come over. This bird is trying to take you to a particular Ghost of Tsushima vanity item called the Forgemaster’s Headband. If you follow her, you’ll reach a building. There’s a water wheel which leads you to the very top of the structure. Jump down on the highest rafter in the building, and you’ll get the Headband. Plus, there is a Singing Cricket which you can also capture. On the east side of the Forge, there is a graveyard that has the Singing Cricket. There are enemies down there, so if you’re planning to obtain this novelty item, keep your weapons ready Samurai!

The game launched exclusively on PlayStation earlier this month.
