How to Find Your Facebook Friends on Twitter

If you’re new to Twitter, it might get confusing about finding your friends and sharing the platform. You can search for your friends via Twitter’s search option, but it doesn’t work most of the time. It is because a lot of people can have a profile with the same name, or your friends can have profiles with a different username.

Also, if you go on finding your friends with this method, it’ll take a lot of time and effort. Below mentioned are the steps through which you can find your friends on Twitter, and it’ll not take a lot of time.

  1. If you already hold a Yahoo Mail account, well and good. If not, create an account with the same and log in. It takes a few minutes to create an account.
  2. Once you’ve created an account and logged in, tap on the ‘Contacts’ option in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. A menu will appear, select ‘Import Contacts’ from the list, and a new window will appear with the list of social media accounts.
  4. From this window, tap and select ‘Facebook’ and type the sign-in details in the next window. Click ‘Ok’ to move further.
  5. It’ll take a few minutes for your Facebook contacts to sync with the Yahoo Mail account. When the process completes, tap on the ‘Done’ option to end.
  6. Next, log in to your Twitter account by putting in the ID and password for the same.
  7. Locate the ‘Twitter Importer’ button on the window and click on the same. The next window will appear with the accounts of your friends.
  8. Click on the ‘Search Contacts’ tab next to the Yahoo Mail icon.
  9. Yahoo will start loading your contacts to the Twitter account. Click on the ‘Agree’ option to finish and continue.

This is a secure method of finding your friends on Twitter via Facebook and Yahoo Mail, but it does not always give you the complete list of your Facebook friends present on Twitter.

There are few limitations to it you must keep in mind. The limitations are:

  1. Though it is evident, still a reminder that you’ll only be able to see contacts that use Twitter accounts already.
  2. The contacts you find on Twitter relies upon the privacy settings made by your friends on their accounts. They can choose to be found on other social media platforms or not.
  3. Only your Facebook friends will be able to appear in your list and not the mutual, or the ones not added on your account.
  4. If someone has logged in with a different email address on Twitter, you won’t be able to see them in your contact list.

Keep track of who’s unfollowing you on Twitter

It is challenging to keep track of the people who’ve unfollowed you as you can’t maintain statistics for the same. There is a solution for the same. Now, you can get to know who unfollowed you on Twitter using the ‘Who.Unfollowed.Me’ website. All you need to do is tap on the ‘Start Tracking Unfollowers’ option once you link your Twitter account. It’ll present you the list of your followers and non-followers along with the specific data like, when did they stop following you.
